PROJECT SCOPE
Fabricate and install 4 Nos. of steel silo for storing sludge cake. The sludge after drying through centrifuges is stored there temporarily until they are transported out.

At the time of construction, the Stonecutter's Island Sludge Treatment Facilities is the World's largest sludge treatment plant.

UNIQUENESS OF
PROJECT
Dry Sludge is known as a difficult solid to handle. The traditional hooper at the base of the silo would not have been effective as the sludge tends to arch over and thereby stopping any further sludge from discharging. In this case, the silo has a flat bottom and the sludge is discharge through bottom slots at the base of the silo with the unique SAXLUND sliding frame and screw conveyor
